Automation is like having a magic wand. Bippity Boppidy Boo and it’s done for you! But before you can wave that wand, you need a PLAN.

What do you WANT to automate?

What do you NEED to automate?

WHY do you want to automate it?

3 Things to NOT AUTOMATE

  1. Building Relationships: Trust and human connection are paramount.

  2. Customer Service: Personalized interactions are crucial for loyalty.

  3. Creative Content Creation: Authenticity is key; use AI tools as assistants, not replacements.

Automations I recommend to get started:

  • Appointment Reminders: To ensure clients don’t miss appointments.

  • Lead Magnet Delivery: To provide valuable resources to leads promptly.

  • Content Delivery: For seamless course distribution.

  • Social Media Scheduling: To maintain a consistent online presence.

  • Accounting: To streamline financial processes.

  • Auto-Replies / Notifications: To engage with customers efficiently.

  • Event Reminders: To keep attendees informed.

  • Follow-Up: To avoid self-sabotage and enhance customer relations.

Automation in Action Example:

At an event, I had a quiz. People could sign up for the quiz and 10 minutes later it would send them a text to ask them which result they good. The auto-responder would trigger based on their response and a second text was received, acknowledging their result and asking a follow up question. IF they answered the follow up question, I would step in to add a human touch.

Tools for Automation:

Automation is simply IF THIS, THEN THAT. Start by outlining your process and goals. Consider the desired outcomes and tools that align with your needs.

Before streamlining my own business with an All-in-One CRM (You Can Automate), I juggled 13 tools! I was using: Kajabi, Squarespace, Wix, Thinkific, Mighty Networks, Trello, YouCanBookMe, Mailchimp/ Mailerlite, Tave, Creator Studio, Google Forms, Member Vault, and Remind.

CAN YOU SAY HOT MESS EXPRESS!!!!

If you aren't ready to use an all-in-one CRM, I'd recommend starting to simplify using Zapier to connect your existing tools efficiently.

AI Tools You Can Use to Automate:

Explore AI tools like Opus.pro (Edits long form videos into short clips), Descript (Transcription), and AI tools like ChatGPT for enhanced automation capabilities. (You can ask it HOW to automate a task in your business, ie: "Can you provide guidance on automating a repetitive task in my business?")

Embrace automation wisely, combining efficiency with personalization. With the right tools and a strategic approach, automation can truly be your business's magic wand!

And if you get stuck, you can borrow my Magic Wand!
